Decor Walther’s understanding of luxury is constantly evolving. When making a purchase, more and more people, particularly the most discerning ones, base their decision on much more than just the aspect of prestige. They also value timeless aesthetics, high quality, functionality, longevity.
They examine products with a sharp eye – equally weighing external and internal qualities. After all, new acquisitions should not only be an expression of one’s lifestyle: they should first and foremost ensure personal well-being. Ethical considerations, such as sustainability and resource conservation, are also essential.
Today, purchasing decisions bring up questions of style, intelligence, and responsibility. By doing so, buyers distance themselves from the one-dimensional attitude of simply trying to show off, not to mention the throwaway mentality that comes with low quality. High-quality products are in demand. The new mantra of consumption is “Less, but better”.
Thanks to this trend, Decor Walther’s philosophy of discreet luxury, developed over almost five decades, is gaining recognition across every industry. It has never been as relevant as it is today. And it has never taken on so many fascinating faces and facets.

THE HISTORY OF discreet luxury is the history of DECOR WALTHER
Almost five decades ago, Decor walther was founded when Harald Walther opened a small specialty store in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. That was 1973. At the time, they had no set philosophy that would one day profoundly change the concept of luxury. There was, however, a clear vision for the type and nature of the products we wanted to offer.
They should be timelessly beautiful, high-quality, and long- lasting.
Sourcing these products proved challenging. Established manufacturers did not produce to decor walther standards, so they embarked on their own path. This led them through half of Europe to smaller manufacturers who were able to implement their product ideas – traditional craftspeople using purely hands-on methods, who could deliver the forms and quality they were looking for.
They started with prototypes, then moved on to producing small series. In this way, Decor walther were able to hone in on the taste of their customers. The demand grew year after year. In their store, then through trade fairs. Nationally and later internationally. Today, they deliver to over seventy countries around the world.
The company is managed by Maiken Walther and Henry Walther. Both are creatively and strategically responsible for the company and involved in all operations. From product development and manufacturing to marketing, sales, and communication. They make important decisions together – independently of external capital and investors.
Through all the success and growth, one thing has remained. It’s part of Decor walther’s DNA. Just as before, They run a specialty store in Frankfurt am Main. So they are always close to end customers. Decor walther hear their wishes and needs first- hand, and can also fully identify with the perspective of our retail partners.

BEHIND the FACES of DECOR WALTHER
Discreet luxury is more than a question of design and aesthetics. It also relies on inner qualities hidden beneath the exquisite surfaces: the quality of the materials, the integrity of the finishing. Hand-picked European manufacturers craft Decor walther products for them exclusively – primarily in traditional artisanal processes, but also in tandem with the most cutting-edge production techniques. The result is always the same: outstanding quality that lasts. You can see it. You can feel it. Even after years.
The surfaces reflect the skill and care of being handcrafted. The barely visible differences between each product reveal the characteristic signature of individual craftwork. This is Decor walther discreet trademark, so to speak.
A fundamental principle of Decor walther business is sustainability – both economic and ecological. That’s never been more relevant than today. In the development and manufacturing of our products, Decor walther focus on longevity right from the start. In the quality, but also in the timeless aesthetics. Because quality that lasts and lasts is sustainable by definition, saving money and resources. Back in 1973, just like today.
