Kajsa Melchior is an independent designer based in Stockholm. Her work has a design critical
approach and investigates in the borderlands between furniture and sculpture, facts and fiction.
Her work is an exploration of how concepts such as developing and erosion can form the basis of
spatial and material investigations, and challenges aesthetic standards by creating forms through
sand, compressed air and bodily imprints.

The work challenges preconceived perceptions of how we can think spaces and furniture.
Instead of finished objects, we are faced with generative forms that point to a kind of constructed
life-forms shaped by ongoing and changing processes.
